RETAINER CONSULTING SERVICES

  • Shipping Requirements and Labeling
    ASERT will on a quarterly basis, review your facility’s shipping records and methods to insure that future liabilities are minimized. ASERT will review and update labeling procedures in your facility to insure that they meet all O.S.H.A., E.P.A. and D.O.T. standards. Labels will be provided by the facility.
  • Permitting and Filing
    ASERT will assist in applying and filing for the necessary permits needed to handle, store, transport, and dispose of regulated materials as a hazardous and non-hazardous waste generator. This includes E.P.A. I.D. numbers, Disposal Plans, and other waste related reporting. This permitting and filing refers to Hazardous, Non-Hazardous and Universal waste only.
  • Reporting and Notification Requirements
    ASERT will review shipping tickets, waste manifests, and quarterly reports required by law to assure proper compliance are current for the company. Material Safety Data Sheets (M.S.D.S.) will be reviewed annually to assure that chemicals falling under Superfund Amendment Reauthorization Act (S.A.R.A.) Title III, are treated in accordance to the law, as well as notification requirements to L.E.P.C., Local Fire Departments and the State Commission. All notification requirements for Tier I and Tier II reports will be completed by ASERT in conjunction with information provided by the facility. 
  • Facility Placarding
    ASERT will review on an annual basis the chemical storage areas requiring facility placarding of fixed locations regulated by NFPA Standards. If deemed necessary, ASERT will set up meetings with the Fire Department to assure the numbers are in compliance with Fire Department protocols. ASERT will review any current HMIS coding system utilized. All placards and labels will be provided by the facility.
  • Environmental Auditing
    Environmental Compliance will be addressed on an annual basis with general surveys in and around the facility. The general auditing will take place as part of the retainer contract, yet, if additional analysis and personnel are needed for sampling, auditing or remediation, this will be billed on an hourly basis and cost plus pricing with a rate sheet provided prior to any mobilization.
  • Annual Inspection
    ASERT will perform an annual inspection of the facility in conjunction with an abbreviated version of an environmental audit. The findings will be presented in a report in which violations and regulations will be presented. The inspection allows for information and guidance to prevent potential liabilities. All reports are strictly confidential between ASERT and the contracting facility. This report will not release the company from potential or future violations from OSHA, EPA or any other governmental agencies. 
  • Waste Disposal and Waste Minimization
    ASERT professionals deal with a multitude of disposal facilities to assure the safest, most environmentally acceptable and economically feasible means of waste disposal. ASERT will assist your facility in reducing the liabilities associated with waste activities by assisting in the option of facility waste coordinators conducting inspections of TSDF locations at the cost of the facility. ASERT consultants will be performing inspections of your facility to reduce or eliminate any waste that is currently being generated and observe alternatives actions for waste minimization. 
  • Contigency Plan Development and Emergency Response Plans
    Facilities that are regulated by RCRA 40 C.F.R. 262.34 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.38 are required to develop a contingency and emergency plan. ASERT will develop your facility’s contingency and emergency plan, as well as assure each agency receives a copy of your plan. This service is billed on an hourly basis and an option for P.E. signature is available. The facilities not regulated under R.C.R.A. are still liable for developing an Emergency Response Plans by O.S.H.A. This plan will be developed in the same billing as contingency plans. If the plan is already in place, ASERT will assure on an annual basis that the plan is appropriate and updated. 
  • Training Requirements and Optional Instruction
    ASERT will annually review your current training policies and identify deficiencies according to all standards applicable through E.P.A., O.S.H.A. and D.O.T. training. ASERT provides a very professional and knowledgeable staff which specializes in custom training for your facility. Basic training needs can be met with ASERT training instructors. In the event training is provided by facility personnel, ASERT will assist in providing environmental and safety lesson plans or lesson plan development. ASERT will set up safety and environmental training to meet your company needs in coordination with a monthly schedule of the general OSHA programs. In the event the training on a monthly basis exceeds the agreement between the consultant and the client, an hourly base rate will apply. 
  • In-House Emergency Hazardous Materials Team
    ASERT personnel provide a vast array of experience and knowledge in hazardous materials response work. ASERT can provide your facility with the training to control your own in-house clean-ups and spills. This option provides for an outlet to save the companies thousands of dollars in the event a clean-up company was to arrive on the scene. This training is provided in a 40-hour Hazwoper format and is billed on a per student basis. ASERT will also assist in developing emergency response kits to assist in clean-up operations.  
  • Program Review for Mandated and Recommended OSHA Policies
    ASERT will review current programs to assure your company is in compliance with OSHA and EPA guidelines. In the event programs are not available for review, depending upon the program, ASERT will provide the services of program development with an agreed amount of hourly cost associated. This review will provide a basis for compliance and will not release the company from future liability.
